We’re glad you asked. Paris is one of those rare marathons that is perfect for complete novices and experienced runners alike. The reasonably flat course allows new runners to ease into their first marathon experience without any punishing climbs, and means veterans can set their sights on a PB.
You’ll also be pleased to hear that Paris is renowned as a meticulously organised marathon. Year after year the event goes off like clockwork, despite the huge amount of people involved. The race brings together 40,000 runners from all over the world to compete, and before and after the event you’ll be able to get involved with the inspirational marathon community.
As well as providing the perfect environment for runners, Paris offers so much breath-taking scenery that the 26.2 miles will be over before you know it. After starting the race along the Champs Elysées you’ll pass countless landmarks, including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, before finishing at the Arc de Triomphe. Be sure to make time before or after the race to experience these sights, as well as everything else there is to see and do in Paris.
Add to all that the indescribable atmosphere generated by your fellow runners and the 250,000 plus cheering spectators, and this becomes a race that is not to be missed. If for some reason you’re still not convinced, head to the event info page to find out everything you need to know.
So what are you waiting for? Register now, start your training, and prepare yourself for the event of a lifetime.
